Dental implants are a long-lasting and very safe option to replace dental pieces that the patient has lost.
They come to be an aesthetic and functional solution, helping the patient to comply with their chewing functions and maintain good oral health.
Dental implants are titanium screws, designed to replace the root of a missing tooth, which are inserted into the jaw or maxilla and through them the tooth can be rehabilitated.
Can the implant produce any type of allergy?
The dental implant must be compatible with the bone, allow union with it and not produce allergic reactions, which is why these implants are manufactured with bio-compatible materials such as titanium.
After inserting the screw, a crown (artificial tooth) is placed over the screw, which allows the crown to stay in place
How do implants work?
As we said, they work to replace one or more teeth, in some cases a complete arch can be replaced.
The implants work in several ways, there are fixed prostheses where the patient cannot remove these implants and in other cases, removable prostheses are used so that the person can remove the prosthesis, clean it and replace it.
